About
This website is produced to aid in the teaching of new scrub practitioners and students, factors that relate to the implementation of care to patients undergoing femoral popliteal bypass surgery.
This will include understanding of the demographics of their patients group, the age and common risk factors associated with peripheral arterial disease. Why a bypass is performed, how the surgery is conducted either via a harvested vein or a prosthetic graft. The instrumentation and equipment needed for the case, for instances micro instruments like castro needle holders and equipment like ultrasound dopplers.
Finally any potential complications that they may arise that they need to be aware of as scrub practitioners.
